I read every entry personally

I'll go through all the entries one by one by September 8th.

If you're shortlisted, I'll email you

We'll book a time to chat so you can tell me more about your story and why you're finally ready to BE SEEN.

Winners announced · once entries close

I'll reach out to the 5 winners on September 16th. Your full photoshoot, plus hair and makeup is on me, AND you'll receive one free image, a $200 product credit, and the corresponding b&w image files with any collection that includes digitals, up to $1,400 value.

What makes us different.

Time

I don't stack sessions back to back. Yours is intentionally paced slowly, because we get better results when we put attention into the details. You've probably never done something like this before, so it should feel less like a photoshoot and more like a fun, chill hangout, laughing, swapping a little gossip, and actually getting to know each other.

Space

Your session happens inside Vancouver's 1912 Seymour Building, one of the last true Gothic landmarks left downtown, original marble, real archways, nothing rebuilt to look old. The studio itself is curated down to the last detail, every piece chosen on purpose, not a converted condo with a ring light in the corner.

The closet

A full client closet means you don't have to shop for this. Lingerie, shoes, bodysuits, all included. Bring your own favorites too, if you've got them, but you never have to.

Hair & makeup

Professional hair and makeup is included with every single shoot. It's not an add-on, it's part of the experience.

No upselling add-on sets

Want wet shots? Cool, no problem. White sheets? Yep, I gotchu. Have a specific idea you've been picturing? That's just part of your session, not something I nickel-and-dime you for as a separate upsell.

Absolute privacy

Your images belong to you. I never ask or incentivize clients to post their photos for my marketing.

No pressure

No high-pressure emotional sales pitch right after your photoshoot. Viewing and ordering appointments are held 1 to 2 weeks after your session, either in person or online. You only buy the photos you love.

Real, not digital

Photo Collections turn into albums and wall art, actual objects you can hold and hang. These are too special to get buried in your photo archive.

Before you talk yourself out of it

The art of being seen.

"I've never felt comfortable on camera."

Almost everyone who sits down with me says this. You don't need to know how to pose, look cool, or act like a model. I've spent my life studying composition, I direct every movement, down to your fingertips, so you're never flailing or wondering what to do with your hands.

"I don't have the 'right' body for a boudoir session."

There is no right body. Beauty standards were built to keep women small, quiet, and critical of themselves. I'm not interested in reinforcing that with a camera. I use light, angle, and movement to tell your story, not someone else's idea of one.

"Who else is going to see these?"

No one, unless you decide otherwise. Nothing goes online, on social, or into my portfolio without your explicit okay. Honestly, some of my favorite work I've ever shot stays a secret between me and the client.

Why work with me.

I read every inquiry myself

You're not a lead in a spreadsheet, you're a collaborator. My goal isn't just a flattering photo, it's a space for you to actually see yourself.

Your safety comes first

Getting in front of a camera is a real act of vulnerability. I don't expect you to walk in relaxed, that's why we go slow.

Gentle, exacting direction

I've guided hundreds of people through this. From the tilt of your chin to your pointed toes, you don't need to know what you're doing. You just need to show up.

I'm technically really damn good at this

Not luck, not a nice camera. A decade of technical skill aimed at one thing: making you look completely natural. Dreamy, soft light, ethereal poses that feel like movement caught mid-breath, not something stiff, cheesy, or posed to death.

Pamela, founder of Aiota Photography
Meet the artist

Hi, I'm Pamela.

Decades behind the camera, and a handful of lifetimes painting, writing, throwing pottery, and running audio boards in rooms full of strangers. These days I bake bread as therapy and have a podcast queue longer than I'll ever finish, because people are what I'm actually obsessed with.

I run a small, private boudoir studio in Vancouver. No over-processed, copy-paste poses. You don't need experience, and you don't need to be "perfect." Stepping into that room takes courage.

Welcome to the club. We don't have jackets, just snacks.

What clients say after.

"I've done other shoots and they felt cookie-cutter and uninspired."

"It was an incredible experience, start to finish, and exactly what you want from a boudoir shoot. This experience made me feel special, strong, and empowered."

"I never felt 'good looking' enough for a boudoir shoot."

"I'm so glad I did it, those photos are beautiful, and it turns out I CAN take photos like that. I usually hide from the camera. Not this time."

"The feeling of acceptance just radiates off of you."

"I thought I'd be shy about my body, none of that surfaced the entire time. Aside from the photography, I appreciated just talking with you as a person."

"I see myself in a different light after this."

"I can't express what your words meant to me at the final viewing, you saw beauty in me I didn't know how to look for myself."

Questions, answered.

Is this really free?

Your photoshoot is free, which includes hair and makeup, use of the client closet, the shoot day with me, and your private photo viewing appointment, normally $300 plus tax, completely FREE. Also included is ONE free digital image, a $200 credit towards your photo collection purchase, and corresponding b&w image files with a photo collection that includes digitals, up to a $1,400 value in total.

How do you choose the winners?

I read every single entry myself and choose the 5 that speak to me most, based on what you write in the form. It's not a random draw, it's personal. So tell me your actual why.

When do entries close, and when will I hear back?

Entries close September 8th. If you're shortlisted, I'll email you personally for a quick chat. The 5 winners will hear from me by September 16th — your full photoshoot, plus hair and makeup, is on me, plus a free image, a $200 product credit, and the corresponding b&w image file, up to a $1,400 value. If you don't hear from me, that just means it wasn't your round, not that anything went wrong.

How long is a session?

About 5–6 hours, start to finish. Hair and makeup first, then styling from the closet plus anything you bring, then roughly 3 hours of shooting. Clear your day. It's meant to be lived in, not rushed through.

What do I wear?

Whatever you love. The studio closet has over a decade of lingerie, shoes, and bodysuits to pull from, we style together at the start of your session. Bring favorites from home too, if you've got them.

Do my photos go anywhere?

Only if you say so. About 1–2 weeks after your shoot, we sit down together, just us, and look through your edited images. Nothing goes public without your explicit okay, ever.

Do you shoot couples, maternity, male/masc, non-binary clients?

Yes, all of it. Boudoir, couples, intimate maternity, postpartum, bridal, anniversaries, post-divorce, post-anything. Consider it a document of wherever you actually are right now.

I only give away a limited number of sessions and I'm typically booked 2–3 months out otherwise. To be considered, I invite you to enter now.
